UBTECH uKit Explore
It's not just another building block kit
The uKit "Explorer" kit offers endless opportunities and challenges for young engineer candidates and programmers. The robotics kit, developed for IT-oriented high school classes and specialties, integrates students' knowledge of mechanics, electronics and programming with the help of high-tech or even human-like robots. The compilation of the uKit advanced kit encourages students to be creative, solution-centric, and think independently.
This member of the uKit family is designed for education and quizzes. Explore is a product that creates a connection between game, project-based learning, graphics and script-based programming.
Using the uKit Explore, students can gain knowledge through honing their skills in practicing:
- circuits and open source hardware,
- programming,
- computer technology,
and solving practical problems with knowledge gained through practical experience.

Main features
The open source Arduino interface, rich in resources
The expansion interface also provides multiple sensor modules and peripheral access;
- Independent sensor module design;
- Compatible with other uKit structural component modules, meaning uKit products are fully compatible with each other;
- C / C ++ / Blockly programming support to meet the needs of different levels of users;
- Support with teaching materials, easy and quick start, easy learning.
Arduino-based controller
The kit has a special control panel equipped with an open source Arduino platform, providing the “infinite” sensor type and programming learning resource due to Arduino support.
Originally, Arduino wasn't designed for electronic engineering students.
The designers initially decided to create their own microcontroller development boards, creating a low-cost, easy-to-use solution.
The Arduino has been warmly received worldwide by electronics lovers. The secret to its success is open source, affordability and ease of understanding. Even users less experienced in programming with Arduino can easily create exciting and interesting features such as controlling sensors, flashing lights and motors. UKit Explore is an open source tool that is fully compatible with Arduino.
Understanding the control panel
The control panel is an open source hardware platform specifically developed for uKit building blocks. It is compatible with Arduino Mega 2560 and supports C / C ++ and Blockly programming languages.
Suitable for controlling the uKit control panel, motherboard buzzer, RGB lamp, buttons, gyroscope and other devices. Because the built-in Li-ion battery also charges via USB, for example, presentations that require less time can be run anywhere, making our project perfectly mobile.
In addition, the uKit Explore control panel has a lot of peripherals, such as ADC, I2C, I2S, SPI, UART and other methods that are compatible with Arduino IDE programming or compatible with uKit Explore's graphical programming software.
Multifunction servo
The servo serves as the “joint” of the robot and can be used to perform various movement combinations. The rate of rotation of its axis is controlled by an electrical circuit and reaches the designated angle with an accuracy of 1 degree in up to 0.2 seconds.
Modules
The Explore Kit supports our future projects with a wide and colorful range of modules: RGB LED lighting, Bluetooth speaker, touch sensor, two-position power switch, infrared and ultrasonic proximity sensors and color sensor.
